Ahilia is a New Jersey native. Growing up in an immigrant family from Guyana in New Jersey, Ahilia is passionate about community and politics. Aside from her work at The Local Girl, Ahilia also works part-time in early childhood education. Her hobbies include reading fiction, writing poetry and short stories, and practicing embroidery.
