About the 43rd Annual Montclair Run

The Montclair Run was established in 1983 by the YMCA of Montclair. It is set for Sunday, June 7th, beginning and ending in front of the YMCA’s Park Street Branch at 25 Park Street, and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages.

The event features a Grand Prix 10K for experienced runners, along with a 2-mile Fun Run +Walk that welcomes families and beginners.

MG pro tip: If you want a challenge and scenic views, the Grand Prix 10K is the way to go. It runs through two scenic parks.

A “Run for a Cause”

about the cause

The Montclair Run may be a highlight on our fitness calendar, but its impact goes beyond the miles. The YMCA of Montclair describes it as a “Run for a Cause,” with all proceeds supporting the YMCA of Montclair’s Community Health Program Fund. The initiative, described as a program dedicated to “helping our neighbors live healthier lives”, supports children, families, and seniors in the Montclair community.

The YMCA of Montclair is centered on helping individuals grow and access opportunities that help them to reach their potential. The Montclair Run represents its mission by connecting a community tradition with a bigger purpose.
