Community group Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Montclair and the Montclair Art Museum (MAM) will host AAPI Montclair’s first Lunar New Year Celebration on February 12, 2022, outdoors at the Montclair Art Museum located at 3 South Mountain Avenue in Montclair.
The celebration will feature family-friendly educational, cultural, and social activities to teach community members about Lunar New Year and offer a chance to celebrate and learn together. The traditions of Lunar New Year will be showcased through cultural performances, art, and craft activities. There will also be food and merchandise for purchase.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Kaija Jung Anderson Memorial Scholarship, which honors the life of a second-grade girl from our community by supporting graduating seniors who exemplify her spirit of compassion, curiosity, and courage.

The event will be on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 12PM-3PM (inclement weather date: February 26) all outside on the grounds of the Montclair Art Museum.
AAPI Montclair is a community organization for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the Montclair area. The purpose of the group is to provide a space for unified voices and shared experiences.
