Maria Hanson has been a vendor at The Mill for 17 years, specializing in antique French + English porcelain, antique + classic books, handwoven rugs, antique mahogany furniture, and artwork.

Maria told MG that her favorite part about being a vendor is meeting people who share an interest in antiques and hearing the stories behind buying and selling. She often learns new information about items in her shop and also enjoys advising customers on estate-related and item-specific questions.

“The Center has a nice, easy atmosphere for selling and talking about antiques and collectibles with both customers and fellow antique dealers,” Maria said.

Chris Kutlow, a relatively new vendor at The Mill, moved into her booth in December 2025. She grew up visiting the center as a teenager, which is when she first fell in love with antiques. Chris specializes in folk art, Americana, and primitives. She connects to pieces that are “slightly naive, whimsical, and deeply human.”

“Coming back to The Mill felt like coming home,” Chris said. “Its historic setting takes people back to a quieter time and almost demands that they slow down…There’s truly something for everyone, and every booth has its own personality because the dealers sell what they genuinely connect to.”

One of the most rewarding parts of the job for Chris is educating buyers about pieces and watching them discover objects that bring them joy.

The Mill operates Thursday through Sunday from 10AM-5PM, and on holiday Mondays during the same hours.
