Montclair is widely celebrated for its vibrant, walkable shopping scene, with bustling districts along Church Street, Bloomfield Avenue, and Upper Montclair. These areas are filled with a diverse mix of retailers, including vintage shops, where business owners feel strong support from the local community. Good news for vintage lovers: Montclair Flea’s Vintage Crawl + Record Fair is returning for 2026, taking place the last weekend of May at 1 Lackawanna Plaza as part of its Flea Market Series. Read on for more details about Montclair Flea + this year’s vintage crawl happening May 30th and 31st.

About the Vintage Crawl
On Saturday May 30th, Montclair Flea will host its second Vintage Crawl, kicking off inside Lackawanna Station. This event is similar to a bar crawl, but with vintage shops instead of bars, with a built-in treasure hunt element and a prize incentive for those who complete the challenge (hitting all the spots on the map and snapping a pic at each one). The event runs for two days, meaning you’ll have all weekend to complete the quest.

The weekend kicks off inside the Big Room in Lackawanna Station, where a curated lineup of vintage and vinyl vendors will be set up with tables. After browsing this selection and even taking a turn DJing if that’s your vibe, you can pick up your map and head to the second stop, the Little Shops inside the station, before following it to vintage spots around Montclair. A photo must be taken at each stop to be eligible for the prize. The event is rain or shine.

As noted on the event page, “If you’re a vintage lover, this is the place to be this weekend! You’ll find everything from retro clothing to antique furniture, vinyl records, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just looking for something unique, it’s an indoor vintage paradise.”
The map with participating shops will be released on the day of the event. Here’s a snippet of all the stops and participating businesses:

About Montclair Flea
Montclair Flea is an indoor marketplace that hosts a rotating lineup of vendors each month, offering everything from handmade creations and vintage finds to food. It began in 2023 and was founded by Elise Pereira with the mission of uplifting small businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs by giving them a space to showcase their work in an environment where they feel supported.

The markets take place at the historic Lackawanna Plaza, which was once home to the Lackawanna train terminal. A Montclair-based real estate investment company, BPD Holdings, acquired the space in 2021 after it had been vacant for a decade, with the goal of preserving its history. The property officially reopened in the summer of 2025 and now includes small restaurants, businesses inside The Little Shops, a grocery store, a bar, and a co-working space, along with the monthly Montclair Flea Market.
Montclair Flea typically hosts markets once a month, with a heavier schedule during the holiday season, where events ramp up to markets every weekend from late November through mid-January. Its website states: “It’s about building a welcoming space where creativity thrives, local businesses grow, and the community comes together.”
In addition to hosting Montclair Flea, Lackawanna Station also hosts a variety of other events. See upcoming ones here.
