Bowl-Rite Lanes originally opened above the Shop Rite in 1965, hence the name. This bowling alley has various bites and brews, and hard liquor and wine options too, along with daily specials. Garwood Lanes | 346 North Avenue, Garwood

Bowling at Garwood Lanes ranges from $4 to $7 per game depending on the day. Seniors can bowl (and get shoes) for $2 every Tuesday at 1PM. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday 4PM – 6:30PM.

Head to Humdingers for tech-savvy bowling, where each lane is equipped with graphics and fun games to play on the wooden lane. Guests looking for more than just bowling can also head to the batting cages, arcade, or laser maze. There are a few laser-related games to play there including running through lasers or avoiding them at all costs. There is also a full menu of food options and even a few wine choices from Hopewell Valley Vineyards. This bowling alley is also BYOB, but guests must order food from the menu to enjoy their beverages.

As a family-owned and operated business since 1957, Nationwide Bowling Centers knows the North Jersey bowling scene quite well. It has six locations including Boonton, Hackensack, Jersey City, and more. Check the website for various specials and events, including leagues to join.

STRYXE | 300 Main Street, Madison

STRYXE is self-proclaimed as “a unique entertainment experience” where guests can enjoy bowling, amusement games, billiards, and shuffleboard. This location boasts not one, but two bars, as well as two options of where to eat, either at the Eatery or “laneside.” There are 20 regulation lanes for guests to enjoy, and TVs all over. This classic bowling alley includes plenty of lanes for friends to enjoy. Head to Niki’s Snack Bar located onsite to enjoy various bar-food types of snacks, as well as a kid’s menu. Check out the various specials including fifty-cent games and other food, drink, and bowling specials at the website. Reservations for specials cannot be made online. T-Bowl II also has leagues available for all ages.
