There are a number of organizations and shelters across Essex County that are committed to keeping neighbors warm through donated coats and other outerwear. These groups will accept coats for donation to later distribute them to those in need. Read on to find out where to donate a coat, spread holiday cheer, and keep our community warm this winter.

Winter Coat Drives in Essex County

Jersey Cares Coat Drive

Jersey Cares collects more than 25,000 coats each year. These coats are then handed over to non-profit partners who distribute them to people in need. The organization accepts new and/or gently used coats for adults and children. To make it even easier to contribute, Jersey Cares has an option for supporters to purchase and donate a coat virtually.
