If movement, nature, and a hit of adrenaline are on your New Jersey bucket list, there’s a high-energy outdoor adventure course about an hour from Montclair that checks all the boxes. Located at 414 County Road 517 in Vernon Township, TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park is a tree-top ropes course unlike anything else in New Jersey. Built into the forest, TreEscape brings challenge and play across 11 unique courses, complete with swinging logs, rope bridges, ladders, and high-speed ziplines. About TreEscapes
TreEscapes is an immersive, elevated adventure built for everyone. With a focus on balance and mindset, the courses are designed to be fun, doable, and memorable.
Visitors are fully equipped with a harness and guided by expert staff through a safety orientation before heading up to the trees. Then it’s time to hit the ropes. Courses include:
- Beginner-friendly courses: (purple and yellow) for younger climbers and first timers
- Intermediate Courses: (green and blue) that build confidence and test your skills
- Advanced Challenges: includes Drillers Dare, the black diamond ropes courses for those looking to push their limits
The Experience
TreEscape is a full-on outdoor adventure suspended high above the ground, but if you have a fear of heights, don’t count yourself out. Our team has tried it before, and genuinely had a blast (though we did let out a few squeals).
There are eleven different courses ranging from beginner to expert, with everything from kid-friendly courses (ages 4+) to advanced, black diamond courses.
Along the way, there are a variety of different obstacles like rope bridges, swinging logs, and towering ladders, which will challenge your strength and courage. The course is especially fun with friends — whether your group leans more toward friendly competition or moral support.
Safety is a top priority at TreEscapes. Before starting any adventure, the trained staff provides a safety orientation and remains close by throughout the session. Courses are designed and operated to meet ACCT standards, ensuring a safe, secure environment for all guests.
