With summer in full swing, outdoor activities are as popular as ever. Paintball is a fun group activity for birthday parties or bonding, that combines focus, skill, and enjoyment. It’s a great activity for a weekend afternoon, and something new to try with friends. In Northern New Jersey and New York, there are an array of facilities complete with different options and fields for both rookies and veterans to try. Read on for a list of places to go paintballing in North Jersey.

North Jersey

ABC Paintball Supplies & Field | 1745 Greenwood Lake Turnpike #511, Hewitt 

At ABC Paintball, you rent the equipment, but the facility has a bring your own paint policy. ABC Paintball has been around since 1989, and discounts are available depending on the size of the group. Birthday parties can be accommodated, and the on-site paintball equipment shop offers everything you need.

The Ivy at Chatham

This golf center offers a variety of outdoor activities, including soccer, footgolf, mini-golf, and, of course, paintball. The facility includes a pizza and ice cream shop as well as a full-service restaurant, and the paintball facility is open year-round, with reservations for groups and open play on the weekends. Prices vary depending on packages and upgrades.

Battle Creek Paintball | 625 Macopin Road, West Milford

With an array of fields complete with different elaborate designs and concepts, this paintball studio is prepared to host both beginners and veterans. The field includes 15 acres of forests, buildings, hills, secret passages, and hide-outs. Battle Creek hosts parties, events, and groups, but individual rates depend on the package offered. 

Paintball Game Park | 25 Island Road, Great Meadows 

Inside Tent City, a fast-paced game is almost guaranteed. Birthday parties, events (like weekly specials, scenario games, and Easter egg hunts) are all available at this Great Meadows facility, where admission is $30 but gets less expensive in bigger groups.

New York

With an outdoor paintball experience along the Hudson River, enjoy a high-stakes game with .68 caliber paintballs or opt for a relaxed game with .50 caliber low impact paintballs. There are different are modes available at this course. Reservations are not required here, however, private bookings are available.

Cousins Paintball Staten Island | 2727 Arthur Kill Road, Staten Island

Cousins Paintball offers free play for $30 if prepaid and $35 for walk-ins. Guests can come alone or with a group. A session includes open play, rental guns + goggles if needed, and air fills. Private parties are $59.95 per person and must be a minimum of ten people. Open play happens every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9AM-5PM.
