About the New York Sewing Center
The New York Sewing Center provides classes for all ages and skill levels. From after-school classes for pre-teens to fashion school prep for high schoolers, anyone can get involved. The New York Sewing Center is a great way to learn how to make, alter, and upcycle clothing. Beyond sewing, The Center’s catalog showcases embroidery workshops, knitting, and pattern making. The New York Sewing Center also has a Quilters Group, “a monthly open sewing party” where community members are encouraged to mingle and bring snacks. Notably, all levels are welcome, which emphasizes the community space that The New York Sewing Center promises. It will be interesting to see which classes from the catalog will be provided in Montclair, such as unique experiences like “DJ and Sewing” provided in Williamsburg.
