This holiday season, True Ascend can be found at the Herald Square Market in NYC from December 3rd through January 3rd, as well as at its permanent storefront inside Montclair’s historic Lackawanna Station. Both locations feature the brand’s signature Charm Bar, an interactive custom jewelry experience where customers design their own necklaces or bracelets from start to finish. The brand’s focus remains on quality, creativity, and approachable pricing.
The Origins
Sisters Bilana Uluengin and Diypse Duman launched True Ascend in 2021. What began as a passion project sourcing jewelry during summer visits to family in Türkiye quickly grew into a full-time business. Early growth came through local markets and vendor events, where the sisters built a loyal following for everyday jewelry staples, including their signature evil eye designs.
In 2024, True Ascend introduced its Charm Bar, a launch that expanded the brand’s reach and led to partnerships with Youth to the People, Rizos Curls, Ulta, and Affirm. Since then, True Ascend has appeared at more than 400 events across New Jersey and beyond, including bachelorettes, bridal showers, birthdays, and corporate pop-ups. That success ultimately led to the opening of its permanent Montclair storefront in June, creating a dedicated space for custom jewelry and curated collections.
