If you missed the first go-around, then this is your chance – our second annual Best of Montclair 2022 Guide is back! Just like last year, it’s time to nominate your favorite local businesses, people, and places in Montclair and the greater Essex County area for an award. Submit as many nominations as you want from now until Wednesday, November 16th. As always, we have lots of categories for the Montclair area — ranging from the ‘Best Gift Shop’ to ‘Best Dog Walker’ to ‘Best Cocktails’ + more. These reader-selected awards give businesses bragging rights for months (and sometimes years) to come. Let the nominations begin — scroll down to get started!
This year’s Best of Montclair 2022 Guide is brought to you by our Sponsor OVO Vodka. This Hoboken-based company is reinventing how the world drinks, with proceeds going toward cleaning the world’s oceans by removing harmful plastics — one cocktail at a time. In addition to working with Clear Blue Sea, the team at OVO Vodka hosts monthly waterfront cleanups in Hoboken followed by complimentary OVO cocktails at Union Hall.
Readers can nominate any businesses, people, and places for each respective category from now through 11:59PM on Wednesday, November 16th. Once we count the votes, we’ll be announcing the top three finalists in each category. Then, from those top-tier choices, readers will vote again to select a winner.
Finalists will win a decal sticker to display on their storefronts as well as accolades on our website for all to see. View the 2021 winners here.

Nominate any business or person in any category you’d like, now through 11:59PM on Wednesday, November 16th. Readers can nominate businesses in one, a few, or all categories.
Directions:
- Scroll down below to enter your name + email. You will then be directed to a new page where you will see this year’s category dropdowns — everything from wellness to fitness to food to beauty and beyond.
- Fill out your favorite business for each category. You can nominate as many businesses in as many categories as you’d like — there is no limit, you just have to fill out the form for each business.
That’s it! We’ll do the tallying from there.
The official polls displaying the top three finalists in each category will be live in mid-November — where you can vote again for the winner to take home the title! We’ll announce the winners in each category in mid-December.
