Person of the year: Liz Morgan, Director of Montclair Township Animal Shelter, is our Montclair 2023 Person of the Year!
Montclair Township Animal Shelter, located at 77 Willow Street, provides a variety of services to the community — including pet adoption and fostering, a pet food pantry, and pet vaccinations, among other things. Liz Morgan is the director of this incredible shelter and helps the pets they care for find their forever homes with loving families in the Montclair area. Now more than ever, animal shelters and rescue organizations are an important part of animal welfare. Montclair passed an ordinance that bans the retail sale of dogs and cats in pet stores back in 2022, following the state of New York doing the same by passing the Puppy Mill Pipeline Act. Montclair has since been recognized by Mars PetCare for its pet-friendly parks and businesses. For this, Liz Morgan of Montclair Township Animal Shelter is our Montclair 2023 Person of the Year!
