Calandra’s Italian Village is a business with several eateries under one roof, including Calandra’s Bakery, La Taverna Bar + Lounge, and Calandra’s Italian Market + Deli. The family-run business has been part of the New Jersey food scene for over 60 years.
Il Vecchio Café is known for its classic Italian cuisine and family-friendly environment, and has a venue big enough for any event imaginable. The outdoor setup at Il Vecchio Café is one of our favorites (especially in the summertime), which features covered seating, an outdoor bar, and in colder months, fireplace seating + a fire pit as well. The patio is also dog-friendly, so don’t be afraid to bring your pup along for your day out.
About its Summer Specials
We always love a good seasonal drink, and Il Vecchio Café has plenty of summer specials to try out. MG had a chance to try the soft serve margaritas, which came in cute small cones + glasses and were the perfect sweet treat to go along with our meal.
And if you’re looking for a good happy hour, Il Vecchio is worth the visit. Happy hour runs from 3:00 PM to closing on Mondays, and 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Tuesdays to Fridays. During happy hour, all dishes are 50% off, and customers can also enjoy discounted beers, wines, cocktails, and select premium drinks.

Upcoming Events + World Cup Watch Parties
Il Vecchio Café also hosts events regularly, with multiple TV screens for live watch parties and drink specials available. For the World Cup season, it will be hosting watch parties for every match happening during its business hours.
