A Hoboken fitness favorite looks like it’s making its way further into New Jersey. The owner of the popular pilates fitness studio, The DRIP, announced a new location in Montclair and shared that the opening date will be May 26th. It would be the DRIP’s fifth location. The fitness brand already has several locations in New Jersey and Florida, and it looks like there are more on the way. Here’s what we know so far about a DRIP fitness studio location opening in Montclair.
About The DRIP
Founded by long-time fitness instructors Olivia Bernardo LaCaruba and Samantha Green, who were Hoboken residents at the time, The DRIP Fitness was born during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since expanded to several studios across New Jersey and Florida. After starting out hosting pop-up classes, the first permanent Mile Square location was announced in 2021. The downtown Hoboken studio is located at 44 Hudson Place (floors 2,4, + 5), and the uptown studio is located at 1427 Grand Street. In 2023, the DRIP expanded to Essex County, opening a studio at 333 Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell. The DRIP also has one open studio in Florida, and three slated to open soon.

The DRIP Fitness provides five different types of classes:
- BURN: pilates/barre hybrid
- CYCLE: rhythm-based ride featuring intense intervals and choreography combos
- DRIIP: intense interval-based strength and metabolic conditioning using circuits and sets
- FLOW: yoga-based, full body sculpt class focusing on strength, balance, lengthening, and the breath
- REFORM: slow, controlled, full range of motion movement that targets both large and small muscle groups, infused with energetic variations and bursts to the beat of the music to raise the heart rate

A New Montclair Location
On March 29th, 2026, the Montclair Girl team spotted the owner, Olivia Bernardo LaCaruba, teasing a new location on her social media.

The story post read, “Hi from vibey Montclair,” tagging The DRIP right below. The picture showed the fitness studio’s branding on a storefront. According to The DRIP’s website, the studio will be located at 6 Gates Avenue.

The DRIP team tells The Montclair Girl that this location will be a heated mat studio. The team will open the space on May 26th.
