Brace yourselves, New Jersey: more snow is in the forecast. While many of us are still digging out and some of us are even without power after this weekend’s blizzard, two more weather systems are passing through this week, with snow in the forecast. Both Tuesday night and Thursday night could see some snow or wintry mix throughout the state. Read on for more about what the forecast says and some emergency resources to keep handy.

About the Forecast
Forecasters are calling for more snow this week. On Tuesday night, February 24th, into Wednesday morning, February 25th, another 1″ to 3″ will fall. This comes after a record-setting snowfall that occurred Sunday night, February 22nd, into Monday, February 23rd.
Many New Jersey locations had well over 12″ of snow, with Newark Airport reporting 27.2″ and two Bergen County communities, Lyndhurst + Carlstadt, reporting 30″. Schools throughout the state cancelled classes or delayed start times, and many residents are without power due to downed power lines.
Precipitation will return on Thursday, with light snow and/or a wintry mix forecasted again during the day and into the evening. Forecasters say they will know more about this weather pattern once the Tuesday/Wednesday pattern moves through.
