About Bacarosa
Bacarosa is an Italian restaurant from Chef Andrew Riccatelli and GAC Hospitality Group. Per previous MG reporting in 2022, The Hudson Rose took over the former Franklin Steakhouse and opened in 2024 after two years of renovations. After nearly one year of business, The Hudson Rose closed in July 2025 and reopened as Bacarosa just one month later. The building also includes an event space above Bacarosa, The Harlow Room. The restaurant featured a menu including pizza, pasta, and small bites.
According to a statement from the restaurant, Bacarosa will host its last night of service on Saturday, December 20th. The statement cited challenges of the restaurant industry as the reason for its closing and thanked its customers in the following statement:
“We began this journey as The Hudson Rose in September 2024 and evolved into Bacarosa in August 2025. Throughout this time, we’ve had the privilege of hosting celebrations big and small, brunches, and dinners that lasted into the night. New friends were made and old friends reunited. Many of you chose us for your most meaningful moments, and it has been an honor to be part of those memories.
The economics of this industry have always been challenging, and even more so in recent times. With incredible gratitude and fond memories, we share that Bacarosa will be closing, with our final service on December 20th.
We invite you to join us for our Finale Party on December 20th. Reservations are live now. Until then, we hope you’ll stop by to enjoy your favorite dishes while you still can and help us celebrate the final weeks of this chapter.
We cannot thank you enough for your support, your enthusiasm, and the trust you placed in us. This chapter may be ending, but the relationships and moments we’ve shared will stay with us. Thank you for allowing us to serve you.”
The restaurant remains open for bookings up until its final service date. The Harlow Room could not be immediately reached for comment, this piece will be updated as new information is received.
