Pilates is one of the hottest fitness trends, and Montclair will welcome a new studio in early 2026. LA-based Pilates studio, Pilates Addiction, will open at 638 Bloomfield Avenue, Suite 1A. Pilates Addiction is a Pilates studio which combines several workout methods. Keep reading to learn more about Pilates Addiction and its new Montclair Location.
About Pilates Addiction
Studio director Rhea Shivnani has lived in New Jersey with her partner for 30 years and says Montclair “has always been a staple in our lives for so long”. Rhea’s partner was a Montclair Kimberley Academy alum and says that “this is a full circle moment for us bringing some positive and healthy change to the residents of Montclair”. Rhea hopes to foster a strong community with Pilates Addiction, and participants can expect community events.
Pilates Addiction will be moving into 638 Bloomfield Avenue, Suite 1A, in the Valley & Bloom mixed-use development. The Valley & Bloom development hosts apartments with a plethora of retail stores underneath. These stores include Sayola, a Spanish restaurant with Flamenco dancing, and Hands & Stone spa. Pilates Addiction will be the newest addition to the area. Pilates Addiction is set to open in March of 2026.
Pilates Addiction started in West Hollywood and is making its way to the East Coast. Pilates Addiction uses a WundaFormer, which, according to its website, combines a Pilates reformer, Wunda chair, ballet bar, and a jump board. This unique reformer will be used in its classes, which range from beginning level (Ignite) to high-level classes (Max). Rhea says that “Pilates Addiction’s high energy approach blends classical styles of Pilates with athletic, results-driven training in a modern/upscale, music-infused studio environment.” Pilates Addiction will also offer a Mobility course, which focuses on “real-world strength”. Pilates Addiction classes are designed to engage the core and build strength through intentional movement.

The VIP list at Pilates Addiction is a free list to join that will notify customers of openings, pre-class booking, and upcoming private events. Pilates Addiction is also offering a discounted membership for founding members that also unlocks extra perks and will sustain the discounted price for the duration of a membership.
